Security Guard

Job Summary pay is $16.00 THIS IS A ROVER/ON CALL, THREE DAYS A WEEK AND TWO DAYS A WEEK ROVER must have Uber or Taxi experience We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access points, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Your proactive approach will help prevent incidents, ensure compliance with security protocols, and maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks and ensure safety protocols are followed. Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for authorized personnel while preventing unauthorized access. Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to oversee activity across the site and detect suspicious behavior. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies following established emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy. Perform background checks on new staff or visitors as part of the security screening process. Assist in conflict de-escalation efforts and manage difficult situations with professionalism and calmness. Operate security tools such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR when necessary. Support law enforcement agencies during investigations or when required by law enforcement procedures. Conduct physical security measures including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to secure premises or transport equipment safely. Experience Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Proven ability to operate surveillance systems and access control technologies effectively. Knowledge of emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols. Experience in incident report writing with attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with conflict management techniques and conflict de-escalation strategies. Ability to perform background checks and perform physical security tasks such as patrolling and heavy lifting. Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff and visitors. Certifications in first aid, CPR, firearm handling (where applicable), Taser use, or other relevant security qualifications are advantageous.
