Our growth is unprecedented and there are several opportunities for advancement within our organization.We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join us and become part of the Arrow team in Sumas, Washington.Under the direction of the Division Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator ensures the seamless, accurate and efficient flow and coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments and items. Specializing in both inbound and outbound truck and rail freight, this role requires strong inventory management control, a high level of organization and attention to detail and positive relations with internal and external customers and vendors. This role plays a pivotal part in our logistics operations, ensuring the seamless movement of products through our yard and various transportation channels.The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator has a high impact on customer service success and compliance and to the financial impact of the Arrow Division through accurate and timely flow of goods and inventory controls.For more information please visit Arrow CareersMajor ResponsibilitiesGeneralWork in conjunction with the Operations Supervisor for scheduling/coordination of any inbound received or outbound deliveries of containers, railcars, trucksOperate high‑capacity forklifts to safely load, unload, move, and stage commodities with capacities ranging from 23,000 lbs to 30,000 lbs.Inbound Freight CoordinationAccurately receive, inspect, and document incoming truck and rail freight shipmentsTrack inbound shipments on railcars or trucks and work with the Operations Supervisor on strategic forecasting and planningCoordinate with carriers and suppliers to schedule deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goodsWork closely with the yard or warehouse team to organize and store incoming products efficientlyManage documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and other relevant shipping documentsOutbound Freight CoordinationAccurately prepare and process shipping documentation for outbound truck and rail freight (Truck or Rail Bills of Lading, Arrow’s and or Customer documentation requirements)Coordinate with carriers (truck and rail) to schedule pickups and optimize transportation routesEnsure accurate and timely dispatch of products to customers or other destinationsMonitor and track outbound shipments, providing updates to internal teams and customersInventory ManagementImplement and maintain invoicing procedures and controls to ensure accurate and appropriate inventory levels at all times using Arrow’s applicable systems and technologyWork in conjunction with the Operations Supervisor for timely and accurate daily/weekly/monthly inventory counts dependent on customer requirements and reconcile same with inbound and outbound shipping informationEnsure product inventory is moved as per customer requirements i.e. FIFO for lumberReport any issues with respect to inventory age and/or integrityCommunication and CollaborationCommunicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operationsCollaborate with various departments, including yard, office staff and customers to meet customer requirementsAddress and resolve shipping-related inquiries and issues promptlyCommunicate with the customers and ensure all proof of deliveries are scanned and emailedRelay all completed shipments, information of inbound/outbound receiving to the administratorReport any discrepancies or gaps in service to the supervisorOther ResponsibilitiesProblem solve for cases of missing documents, shipments, deliveries, inventory outages etc.Work in accordance with all Arrow, safety and other applicable regulatory policies and proceduresWork with the Operations Supervisor with respect to daily/weekly forecasts, as well as maintaining asset/equipment controlOther duties as assigned by the Division ManagerPreference will be given to those with relevant post-secondary education and/or relevant transportation industry experiencePreference will be given to those that have experience coordinating inbound and outbound truck and rail shipmentsPrevious high‑capacity forklift operating experience (23,000 - 30,000 lbs) is considered an asset; however, candidates who are willing and able to be trained will be considered.Strong safety mindset Provide internal and external Customer Service excellenceStrong problem solving skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment Computer proficiency - Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel, experience with using relevant software and/or proven ability to learn and leverage proprietary software efficiently and effectively Embodies Arrows Values Safety, Teamwork, Responsibility, Quality, Integrity and Fun! #IND
