Overview: Job Description:  Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.  Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.  Always maintain positive guest relations.  Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.  Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.  Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.  Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.  Complete pre-function side work.  Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating at tables.  Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverage items to the guest in accordance with function requirements.  Clear each course following procedures.  Remove all tabletop items, linen and equipment from the function room as designated by function requirements.  Set up, monitor, refresh and breakdown coffee breaks, receptions, and buffet tables for specified functions according to group requirements.  Complete closing side duties.  Follow up on special arrangements to ensure compliance with such.  Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization and cleanliness. Complete requisitions for additional supplies needed and submit to the warehouse.  Meet with the kitchen to review scheduled group’s menu and equipment requirements.  Inspect table set-up’s check for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with group requirements and departmental standards; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.  Check buffet tables/receptions/coffee breaks for cleanliness, attractiveness, and layout; ensure agreement with function order and departmental standards; resolve any problems. Ensure replenishment of items as specified on event orders and requested by group contact.  Direct servers on timing of service throughout functions.  Promote positive guest relations at all times.  Monitor and handle guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.  Respond to all banquet’s communication via radios.  Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with captains/manager.  Maintain a cooperative team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees.  Stock Banquet supplies.  Ensure inventory gets done once a month.  Ensure closing side work has been completed.  Run small group events without a captain or a manager. Compensation: $21.00 Hourly Every job here has the opportunity to grow into lead, supervisory, management, and executive-level positions. Schedule: This is a 24-7, 365 day a year business that will require some work during nights, weekends and holidays. Must have a flexible schedule that can move between shifts and days as needed.
