Systems Analysis Senior Advisor – Product & AutomationJob SummaryThe Systems Analysis Senior Advisor – Product & Automation serves as a senior, hybrid role combining Business Product Ownership, Technical Product Ownership, and Systems Analysis to support automation initiatives within PBM / Benefit Automation. This role is responsible for translating complex business, regulatory, and operational needs into high‑quality technical solutions, while leading delivery execution in partnership with onshore and offshore teams. The ideal candidate operates independently, manages competing priorities, and owns outcomes across the full delivery lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership & Business AnalysisAct as a Business Product Owner (BPO) for automation initiatives, owning business intent, scope, prioritization, and delivery outcomesPartner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business, operational, and regulatory requirementsTranslate business needs into clear, actionable epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteriaMake informed trade‑off decisions balancing scope, risk, timelines, and business valueServe as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, operations, and technical teamsTechnical Product Ownership & DeliveryFunction as a Technical Product Owner (TPO), collaborating closely with developers, architects, and QASupport solution design by providing functional and technical input aligned to system architectureParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, release readiness, and production validation activitiesIdentify and manage dependencies, risks, and delivery blockers across teamsSupport testing, defect triage, and post‑release validation to ensure solution qualitySystems Analysis & Technical DocumentationDevelop and maintain high‑quality functional and technical documentationDocument business rules, data mappings, automation logic, and system behaviorsEnsure documentation supports development, QA, operations, audit, and long‑term maintainabilityContribute to continuous improvement of documentation standards and delivery practicesOffshore Team & Vendor ManagementProvide day‑to‑day oversight of offshore development and administrative consulting resourcesAssign and prioritize work to ensure timely, high‑quality deliveryReview deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and alignment to requirementsCoordinate across time zones to maintain delivery velocity and operational continuityAct as an escalation point for delivery, resourcing, and access issuesRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma5+ years of experience in systems analysis, product ownership, or related technical rolesDemonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical solutionsStrong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, data mapping, and business rulesExperience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environmentsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervisionStrong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentationPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical, analytical, or related field, or equivalent experienceExperience serving in a hybrid Business Product Owner / Technical Product Owner rolePBM, healthcare, or regulated industry experienceFamiliarity with automation platforms, ETL processes, and system integrationsExperience working with offshore or distributed delivery teamsExperience supporting compliance‑sensitive or audit‑driven initiativesCompetencies & BehaviorsOwnership mindset with accountability for outcomesStrong stakeholder management and collaboration skillsAbility to operate effectively in ambiguous or fast‑changing environmentsAttention to detail with a focus on quality and sustainabilityComfort engaging with both technical and non‑technical audiencesIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 119,400 - 199,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.At The Cigna Group, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits, with a focus on supporting your whole health.
