About The Role:
Our client, one of the largest Credit Unions, is seeking several individuals to join their team as Mortgage Loan Officer Assistants. This position is located in Pensacola, FL and will require candidates to be located locally to train on site.
Basic Purpose:
To assist Loan Officers in facilitating the completion of mortgage loan applications. To collect, analyze, and review supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines, and provide support throughout the loan application process. Serve as a point of contact for members, receiving and responding to member inquires to help them collect required information and complete any necessary documentation.
Responsibilities:
Assist Loan Officers with loan documentation/review efforts and provide support throughout the loan application process.
Ensure progress and inclusion of required mortgage loan application information (e.g. required documentation, assets, income and liabilities, etc.)
Review loan application packages for completeness, data integrity and accuracy and to determine if additional action and/or supporting documentation is required; to check for possible fraud and/or inconsistencies
Review moderately complex files, identify issues, and determine solutions prior to submission for credit review and/or processing
Ensure loan documentation is properly executed in conformance with legal regulatory and Navy Federal policy standards
Ensure complete and accurate file submissions for underwriting review; to include coordinating and preparing documentation necessary for verification and gathering information for new loan underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, tax filings, facilitating title requests, etc.
Review loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculations; coordinate with member to verify and update accordingly
Follow up and respond to member inquiries and/or internal contacts on transactions as needed
Screen and make calls and provide mortgage origination support as needed
Provide a moderate level of expertise and member service to resolve moderately complex inquiries, requests, and problems
Stay abreast of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and Navy Federal policies and procedures to maintain loan file compliance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Experience in working in a high volume, fast paced environment
Familiarity with Real Estate Lending systems, policies, procedures, practices and/or actions
Familiarity with mortgage loan origination and documentation requirements and regulations
Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective skill in comprehending, analyzing, applying and communicating complex written legal documents
Effective skill performing mathematical calculations and working accurately with numbers
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with automated systems
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

10 hour shift
8 hour shift

Weekends as needed
