Consolidation and International Accountant
OverviewAs a Consolidation and International Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the company's ongoing financial transformation. This position is central to maintaining compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), corporate accounting policies, international accounting standards and external audit requirements. You will be involved in critical aspects of the month-end close process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and delivering insightful analyses that inform business decisions.This role offers exposure to cross-functional teams and evolving responsibilities as the company grows and evaluates new systems and processes. We value innovation, integrity, and teamwork, and we're looking for someone who shares those values and brings leadership potential to the team.ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & ReportingPrepare journal entries, including accruals, with proper documentation and in accordance with GAAP, and ensure proper intercompany eliminations.Complete variance analysis and reporting to support financial insights.Reconcile balance sheet accounts to proper support, including timely research/resolution of reconciling items.International AccountingWork with international finance and accounting team members to ensure proper cash forecasting.Support intercompany accounting and ensuring proper tagging of trading partners.Assist in the preparation of international financial statements.Analysis & Insights* Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.* Deliver ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.Process Improvement & CollaborationFollow accounting policies and procedures and highlight areas for improvement.Assist with special projects under supervision of manager.Support FP&A and other departments (e.g., international operations) to ensure accurate and timely financial results.Work closely with consolidation manager to support accounting for and disclosure of more technical areas (e.g., lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842).Facilitate audit requests with external auditors as assigned by manager.QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) track preferredPublic accounting and / or company experience a plus1 to 3 years of progressive accounting experienceUnderstanding of US GAAP and financial analysisProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teamsExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to effectively organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines
