Inventory Control Specialist (INTERNAL ONLY)

Please be aware that this job posting is exclusively intended for internal candidates who are currently employed within our organization**The Role, At a GlanceThe Inventory Control Specialist provides material support in a Lean Manufacturing environment by monitoring the accuracy of inventory. You will work to assure daily resolution of errors identified by cycle counts and assure timely and accurate completion of counting journals.How You’ll ContributeMaintain the daily cycle count program requiring inventory count accuracy and timelinessAdminister transaction corrections, inventory adjustments, and negative balance adjustmentsLiaise with the Manufacturing department to troubleshoot and rectify problems arising from inventory transaction errorsPerform cycle counts as needed to resolve discrepanciesUpdate cycle count reports and documentationTrain employees on cycle countsParticipate in annual inventory auditsSupport continuous improvementAssist in disposition of end of life inventoryOther duties as assigned by SupervisorA successful candidate should have:1 – 3 years related experience in material handling, cycle counting, or inventory control preferredAbility to understand part numberingTraining in and experience with Lean manufacturing principles is preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint)Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 3 month from hireAvailability to work over-time and weekends when needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishExcellent organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methodsAbility to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMay be required to alternate schedules to meet production goalsAttendance is a critical function of this positionWork environment:This is an onsite position based in Tigard, OR.Routine use of standard office equipment.Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodically.Stand or sit for long periods.Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels.Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas.What We OfferMedical, Dental, and Vision 401(k) + matching Employer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disability Health Savings Accounts (with Biamp contribution) and Flexible Spending Accounts Tuition reimbursement Discretionary profit-sharing Referral bonuses Who is Biamp?We make the world’s most extraordinary audio and video solutions.
