Project Manager — Commercial ConstructionW.E. Lyons Construction Co. | Walnut Creek, CAW.E. Lyons Construction is a leading Bay Area commercial general contractor, building since 1926. We're looking for a Project Manager to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout — on time, on budget, and to our quality and safety standards. This role carries P&L responsibility, reports to a Project Executive, and supervises Project Engineers.ResponsibilitiesManage the full project lifecycle: budget, schedule, scope, and qualityBuy out projects — issue ITBs, level subcontractor bids, write scopes of work, and execute subcontractsPrepare and negotiate change orders, owner billings, and monthly cost/profitability reportsDevelop and maintain project schedules with the Superintendent; document delays and pursue time/cost recoveryRepresent W.E. Lyons with owners, architects, subcontractors, and municipal authoritiesEnforce safety compliance per Cal/OSHA, federal law, and industry best practiceDrive closeout: punch list, warranties, as-builts, and final documentationBuild client and subcontractor relationships that lead to repeat workQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management (or equivalent experience)5 to 10+ years in commercial construction project managementStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency with Procore, P6, and accounting platforms (ProContractor, Viewpoint, or similar)
