CPA/ Senior Tax AccountantWe are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to support a growing public accounting team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns, conducting tax research, supporting client relationships, and assisting with the development of junior staff members. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entitiesConduct tax research and assist with tax planning strategies to support client objectives and ensure regulatory complianceAnalyze financial information and identify potential tax issues, risks, and opportunitiesServe as a point of contact for clients by responding to tax-related questions and providing ongoing supportAssist with notices, audits, and inquiries from taxing authoritiesReview work completed by junior team members and provide guidance, coaching, and technical supportMaintain awareness of current tax laws, regulations, and industry developmentsSupport process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives, including use of tax technology and workflow toolsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field4–5+ years of experience in public accounting or tax-focused accounting environmentsCPA license RequiredExperience preparing and reviewing complex tax returnsProficiency with tax preparation and accounting software platformsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a client-service environmentPreferred AttributesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently while collaborating with a broader teamExperience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior staffCommitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining confidentiality
