Lead structural design efforts from conceptual development through final design, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements set by project managers.
Develop structural specifications and data sheets for packaged equipment based on project scope.
Prepare and manage Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), technical bid evaluations, and make informed purchase recommendations.
Review and analyze structural vendor drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate and communicate technical information between suppliers, clients, and cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
Collaborate with detailers and designers to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of structural designs.
Conduct quality reviews of production drawings across various projects to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
Verify and implement required corrections using multiple CAD platforms, ensuring design integrity and consistency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with structural emphasis
Minimum 8 years’ experience, working in a similar firm preferred – EPC Project experience is preferred
Ability to prepare structural calculation sheets, detailed construction drawings, and corresponding AutoCAD files, including markups and coordination using Bluebeam.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as RISA Foundation, RISA-3D, SAP, and familiarity with geotechnical/structural software (e.g., LPILE or similar)
A Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7).
