The successful candidate will be responsible for driving underwriting strategy, advancing product development, and ensuring profitable portfolio growth. This role demands a deep expertise in trucking insurance, particularly in the areas of automobile liability, and the ability to collaborate both internally and externally to build top-tier underwriting capabilities. Key responsibilities include leading and overseeing commercial trucking underwriting operations, developing and implementing underwriting strategies, directing product development initiatives, managing portfolio performance, and building strong relationships with carrier and reinsurance partners. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial trucking insurance, with a strong background in underwriting, product management, or program leadership within the transportation insurance sector. Senior leadership experience with P&L or portfolio ownership responsibility is essential, as is a proven track record in fleet and non-fleet trucking underwriting, pricing, and risk selection. The role also requires experience in scaling commercial trucking insurance programs, strong relationship management skills, and a history of success in launching new trucking products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate with technology and operations teams to modernize underwriting processes and will be adept at mentoring and developing high-performing underwriting teams.
