Automation Coordinator
Role Summary:
The Automation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, supporting, and executing automation related activities across the QRC and service organizations. This role serves as the technical bridge between engineering, field service, production, and customers, ensuring automation systems are correctly specified, configured, tested, commissioned, and supported throughout the service lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical resource for valve automation and control systems
Support selection, sizing, and configuration of actuators, positioners, and accessories
Review customer specifications, datasheets, P&IDs, and control narratives
Provide technical support to service technicians
Act as technical point of contact for customers
Support outages, TARs, and critical startups
Coordinate automation scope across engineering, service, and production teams
Support quoting, order entry, and scheduling activities
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements
Support technician training and development
Develop standard work and automation best practices
Support OPEX and continuous improvement initiatives
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
2+ years of automation, controls, or valve-related experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate technical activities across several locations
Preferred:
Experience with Flowserve or competitor automation platforms
Experience as an Application Engineer or similar role
Strong communication and documentation skills
Strong knowledge of actuators, positioners, and digital diagnostics
