Life Safety Service Technician

Snapshot / Role OverviewWe're seeking a Life Safety Service Technician in Clearwater, FL to inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems for commercial facilities.Impact• Protect lives and property through reliable fire alarm system maintenance• Ensure code compliance by performing required inspections and testing• Build customer trust through professional service and documentation• Support facility safety through expert troubleshooting and repairResponsibilities• Inspect and test fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 requirements• Perform preventive maintenance on fire alarm panels, devices, and notification systems• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm system issues• Program fire alarm control panels and configure system settings• Document all inspection and testing activities accurately• Coordinate with customers on testing schedules and access requirements• Respond to emergency service calls for system malfunctions• Ensure compliance with local fire codes and AHJ requirementsRequirementsMust-Haves• 3+ years of fire alarm service and inspection experience• NICET Level II Fire Alarm certification or equivalent• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire alarm systems• Experience with major fire alarm manufacturers (Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, etc.)• Valid driver's license and clean driving recordNice-to-Haves• Low voltage or alarm systems licensing• Experience with mass notification and emergency communication systems• Knowledge of fire sprinkler and suppression system inspection• Customer service and communication skillsCompensation & LogisticsCompetitive hourly rate depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, PTO, holidays, and company vehicle.Call to ActionIf you're ready to advance your career in mechanical construction, apply today or connect with us to learn more.
