Architectural Drafter (AutoCAD)

Job Description MFR Manufacturing specializes in the design, engineering, and production of architectural fence, railing and screen systems. We are looking for a full-time CAD Technician to produce shop drawings to be submitted to customers and utilized for our production process.In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read/interpret architectural drawings is required.This is a full-time, day-shift, in-person (non-remote) position.Typical Skills & RequirementsUnderstanding of construction/engineering/ architectural drawingsKnowledge of the Steel Fabrication shop drawings process.Accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteDependability and reliabilityProject-oriented: Ability to coordinate drafting schedule based on project priority and meet deadlinesTeam-oriented: Cooperative, collaborative, and flexibleProfessional correspondence (phone, email, etc)Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreating 2D CAD drawings based on architectural drawings, standard details, specificationsFormatting drawings for production/fabrication useExamining drawings to verify specification compliance with customer orderWorking with our team to develop Bill of Material and related informationConsult with our team and others regarding design solutionsOther duties as assignedExperience & EducationFluent in use of AutoCAD (2D) is required .
