Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health disorders, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness. Provide therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention and acute pain management. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Assist in the management of patients in various settings, including ICU, assisted living, home care, and senior care environments. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills in psychiatric nursing. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Experience in psychiatric nursing or related fields such as internal medicine or acute care is preferred. Proficiency in suture techniques and knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) is a plus. Familiarity with managing medical records effectively within a clinical setting. Previous experience working in ICU or assisted living facilities is advantageous. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
