This role oversees 5-7 Production Team Leads with a total span of control of approximately 30 employees. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, confident decision-maker, and a leader who develops people while holding the team to high performance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Development Provide daily leadership to Production Team Leads and line-level team membersCoach, mentor, and develop team leads into stronger leaders and problem solversFoster a positive, high-performance culture with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityConduct daily shift huddles, assign tasks, and communicate production prioritiesProduction OperationsEnsure production meets weekly, daily, and hourly output goals with consistent follow-up and adjustmentMonitor workflow across multiple departments and balance resources as neededEnsure employee adherence to standard work, safety procedures, and quality expectationsTroubleshoot production issues quickly and implement corrective actionsContinuous ImprovementApply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase efficiencyLead and participate in improvement events and problem-solving activitiesUtilize data, metrics and visual management to drive performanceSupport and encourage 5S practicesAdministrative & ReportingTrack and report performance metrics including output, labor, scrap and downtimeUse Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for documentation, communication and reporting.Conduct performance reviews and participate in hiring, onboarding and training effortsRequired Qualifications3+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or a similar production environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisionsDemonstrated success leading teams and holding others accountableProficiency with Microsoft Office, including ExcelAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to stand for extended periods of time on the production flowKey CompetenciesLeadership & CoachingOwnership & AccountabilityCommunicationMulti-tasking & PrioritizationDesire to win / Results OrientedProblem-Solving & Root Cause AnalysisEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.3+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including 1+ year in a leadership role.Strong leadership and team-building skills.Working knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Proficiency in production software, reporting tools, or ERP systems preferred.Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.EEO StatementWe believe strongly in the value of diversity and creating supportive, inclusive environments where our colleagues can succeed.
