Scheduled Air TransportationSupport Activities for Air TransportationSpecial Food ServicesCommercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and LeasingOther Transit and Ground Passenger TransportationJob DescriptionPosition OverviewThis individual is responsible for overseeing maintenance of airline and company aircraft, maintenance personnel, FAA certifications and maintenance budget.Duties / Responsibilities Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance and ensure all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner. Coaching, training, mentoring and performance management of the maintenance team. Oversees recruiting and placement efforts to ensure staffing levels meet requirements. Drive compliance with all regulations for aviation maintenance operations and inspection functions while ensuring regulatory changes are incorporated into company processes. Ensure availability of materials, anticipating requirements and reordering in a cost effective and timely fashion. Develop and review work orders regarding modifications and/or upgrades to aircraft systems. Read and interpret manufacturers and company’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical orders, and other specifications to determine means of compliance and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Develop aviation maintenance strategies by analyzing department costs and maintenance forecasts and incorporating proactive tactics into the business plan determining resource requirements evaluating operational processes; establishing requests for capital expenditures and developing budgets that maximize safety and control costs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help NEA attain corporate goals.Skills / QualificationsProven leadership, management, and time management skills.Ability to communicate both written and verbally with all levels of employees throughout the organizationComputer proficiency to include Microsoft office suite and mobile/tablet-based applications and electronic aviation operation management systemsAbility to manage multiply proprieties, projects, and tasksEducation / Experience 10+ years in aviation maintenance 3+ years of supervisory/Management experience Bachelor’s degree preferred Must possess current and valid FAA A&P mechanic certificate and have held these ratings for 7 years minimum Must possess Inspection Authorization (IA) endorsementPhysical Requirements Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
