JOB DESCRIPTION: Administrative Assistant IITITLE: Administrative Assistant II FTE: 1.0FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt HOURS PER DAY: 8WORK CALENDAR: 260-261 daysCOMPENSATION: Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $21.90/hour)Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesManages the daily operations of the department(s)Organizes and supervises the work flow of the department(s)To perform a wide variety of clerical and administrative assistant duties for the department(s)and to maintain good public relations with students, parents, staff, and the general public.Assist with purchasing including ordering, filing, quotes and bidsAssist with data entry Answers phone, takes and relays messages,and responds to inquiries from parents, students, and school personnelAttends various meetings as required by the District to to ensure continuing professional development and legal complianceAssist with travel for the department(s)Assist with events and meetingsHandles a variety of correspondence, reports, and other materials pertaining to parents, students, and staff; maintains confidentiality of informationMaintains appropriate files as requiredPerforms a variety of clerical duties in providing assistance to the teamOrders necessary supplies and inputs purchase requisitions Prepares a variety of fiscal and statistical reportsHandles routine correspondenceMaintain confidentiality of information regarding students, staff, parents and school issuesProvide a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, parents and communityPerform responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner Maintain punctual and regular attendancePerform other related duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills And Abilities RequiredTo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance CardExperience Must possess a minimum of three years secretarial experience, preferably working in aschool district setting. Must possess an ability to deal effectively with matters of confidentiality. Must possess a pleasant personality and telephone manner. Must possess an ability to work cooperatively with the general public. Must possess a loyalty to the school district and its philosophy. Must be organized and able to work independently. Must be 21 years of age or older upon hireCommunication Skills Excellent written and oral communication skills.
