This is a contract-to-hire, on-site role supporting a healthcare system's centralized Resource Management Center (RMC).This is a non-clinical coordination role responsible for real-time allocation of nursing and ancillary staff across inpatient units — a critical function in maintaining safe staffing ratios and supporting patient care operations around the clock.What You Bring to the Role:2+ years of experience in healthcare operations, staffing coordination, or hospital-based rolesStrong organizational, multitasking, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teamsProficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer applicationsExperience with Smart Square or similar workforce management platforms a plusRN or clinical background preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with inpatient workflows, bed management, or centralized staffing office operations a plusWhat You'll Do:Coordinate and allocate nursing and ancillary staff across multiple inpatient units in real timeConduct staffing evaluations every 4 hours, adjusting assignments based on census, acuity, and unit needsCollaborate with Hospital Supervisors and Charge Nurses to assess staffing needs and communicate shift-to-shift staffing plansParticipate in staffing huddles, gathering unit census, available resources, and anticipated needs for oncoming shiftsManage incoming calls for call-outs, schedule changes, and emerging patient safety needs such as sitter and 1:1 observation requestsUtilize Smart Square to track staffing assignments and workforce availability across the organizationSchedule:5x8s (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) or 3x12s (days or nights)No weekends, no on-callFloating to sister facilities requiredCompensation InformationThe expected salary range for this position is $20-$24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
