Position OverviewThe Tunnel prep prepares and inspect fabrics for production by checking quality, measuring dimensions, aligning patterns, and ensuring materials are ready for processing in the tunnel machine, while following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area.What you'll doReceive soft fabric shades from Flat Prep and verify the fabric and liningMeasure fabric width and length and check against work ticketsInspect patterns for proper alignment and consistencyRemove staples and pins from fabricsCheck fabrics returning from the tunnel machine for looseness, puckering, or defectsKeep your work area clean and organized, following all safety rulesPerform other duties as assigned to support productionWho you areHigh school diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of fabrics and textile materials.Ability to use a tape measure accurately.Comfortable using hand tools safely.Able to stand for extended periods and lift fabrics repeatedly.Strong attention to detail with accuracy in measurements and inspections.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Successfully pass a color vision test.Safety-conscious and adheres to workplace rules.Reliable, team-oriented, and communicates clearly with supervisors and coworkers.What's in it for you?Annual base salary range: $15.00 hourly Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disabilityA company culture that prioritizes internal development and professional growthTime off with pay401(k) plan with a degree of employer matchingPaid parental leaveWellness programs and product discountsPlease note, all offers presented to candidates are carefully crafted to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and reflect the individual candidate’s education, experience, skills and potential.Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable employment laws.
