ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a RESTAURANT FOOD RUNNERAn urban oasis, tucked away off of Main Street in the heart of Fredericksburg, TX, Albert Hotel offers a peaceful yet sophisticated luxury experience in Texas's famed Hill Country. Opened in January 2025, the property features 105 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms and suites, along with uniquely designed bunk rooms and a private house with custom furnishings, locally-curated amenities, and thoughtful touches.With the guest experience in mind, Albert's elevated amenities include a sunken limestone pool featuring an outdoor bar and cabanas, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a 2,000-square-foot full-service spa. Additionally, the property is home to four on-site culinary outlets, including The Restaurant at Albert.Albert boasts 3,600-square-foot of semi-open air event space, a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine deck, and an expansive event lawn, making it a prime destination for weddings, private events, and intimate gatherings.What you'll do:Maintain product knowledge to ensure the accuracy of recipes and notify guests of ingredientsMaintain product allergen knowledge and pay close attention to ensure accuracy and proper communication of dishes with allergen alertsPrepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glasswareServe food or beverages to guests and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as requiredVerify that guests have proper dishware and utensils needed for the course upon delivery of foodProvide clear communication between front and back of house staffRemove dishes and glassware from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleaningClean tables or counters after guests have finished dining as neededStock area with dining supplies such as plates, utensils, glassware, and linensEnsure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessaryWho you are:You have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).6 months of related experience in the hospitality industry preferred.You have state-issued food handling certification as required.You can speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.You can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.You can speak effectively before guests and groups of co-workers.BENEFITSWe are proud to offer competitive wages and the following benefits for full-time employees:Up to 3 weeks of paid time off annually50% off discount at most New Waterloo restaurantsHealth, vision + dental benefits401K matchingPaid holidaysVolunteer payTuition reimbursementReferral bonusesDiscounts at our shops, hotels + local partnershipsABOUT NEW WATERLOONew Waterloo is a community-centric independent hospitality company based in Austin, Texas.
