The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant nonprofit laws and regulations. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's mission, particularly in the areas of risk management, employment, contractual, and ethical matters. The General Counsel will also offer legal support to the leadership and Boards of Directors of both the nonprofit and its affiliated corporation. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a strong background in nonprofit law and a deep understanding of the legal issues that affect philanthropic and advocacy organizations. The role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks to support the company's vision of a sustainable, high-energy planet. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management, employment law, and ethical compliance, and be adept at providing clear and effective legal counsel to a diverse range of stakeholders.
