12 Month Contract
$55-60/hr on W2
Position Summary
Our enterprise cruise line client is seeking an IT Product Owner to support a high-visibility initiative focused on enhancing the pre-cruise guest experience through data-driven personalization.
This role sits within the Onboard Revenue & Guest Experience vertical, which owns all guest transactions, revenue, and supporting data across the full journey- from pre-cruise booking through onboard experience and post-cruise engagement.
The IT PO will act as a central coordinator and accountability driver across multiple business and technology teams. This individual will not be responsible for building or designing solutions, but rather ensuring alignment, execution, and delivery across a complex, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Coordination & Delivery
Serve as the primary point of coordination across 6+ departments, including Digital Marketing, Business Operations, Data Engineering, Data Science, and other enterprise teams
Manage cross-team dependencies, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
Facilitate alignment between business objectives and technical execution across distributed teams
Drive clear communication, transparency, and accountability across stakeholders
Execution & Program Support
Support delivery of a large-scale personalization initiative spanning pre-cruise digital experiences
Coordinate efforts to enable personalized offers across:
Dining packages
Beverage packages
Shore excursions
Track progress, identify risks, and proactively remove blockers or escalate issues as needed
Operate effectively in an environment with no centralized PMO, partnering with distributed project managers and team leads
Agile & Process Leadership
Support agile ceremonies and execution across a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment
Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Analysts, and Engineering teams to ensure delivery alignment
Help define and evolve processes where needed this role has flexibility to shape structure and best practices
Qualifications
Required Experience
4+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or Program Coordination role
Experience working in enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives
Experience operating in Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments
Preferred Technical Exposure (Nice-to-Have)
Familiarity working with data platforms and data-driven products
Exposure to:
Feature tables or supporting data science workflows
Streaming data concepts (e.g., event-driven architectures)
Cloud environments (AWS or similar)
Awareness of modern data tooling such as:
Databricks
Kafka
ETL / data pipeline concepts
