HVAC Technician

Job Type Full-time Description ENTEC Services, Inc. is seeking experienced HVAC technicians for the Peoria, Springfield and surrounding areas. Qualified steamfitters/pipefitters are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This position ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction by delivering quality service in a safe and professional manner. Responsibilities:Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and controlsPerform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer and company standardsDiagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systemsTest system performance and make recommendations for repairs or improvementsMaintain detailed and accurate service records and communicate findings to customers and managementCollaborate with Service Dispatch, Project Managers, and other team members to ensure quality and efficiencyAdhere to all safety standards, company policies, and local codesProvide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times Job Requirements:Member of a local steamfitters/pipefitters union, or willingness to become a memberAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written communicationValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to work well in a collaborative environment, as well as to perform work independently Physical Requirements:Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularlyAbility to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and reach regularlyAbility to perform repetitive hand movements, use hand tools with dexterity, and grasp and manipulate small objectsAbility to respond quickly to sounds or dangerous situationsAbility to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesAbility to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 poundsAbility to perform work while on a ladderAbility to work in extreme weather conditionsAbility to wear personal protective gear correctly, as required Anticipated Salary Range and Employee Benefits:Wage Scale (currently $46.60 in Peoria)Employee benefits include life insurance and paid time off About ENTEC Services: ENTEC Services, Inc. fields a best-in-class team of engineers, mechanical service technicians, building automation experts, and sales and administrative professionals whose unique interaction and collaboration get to the root cause of the issues building owners face.
