Electrical Testing Technician (NETA)

DescriptionTitle: Electrical Testing TechnicianLocation: Dallas, TXJob Summary: TechPro Power Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Testing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform acceptance and maintenance testing on low and medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, automatic transfer switches, motor control centers, ground systems, etc. This position will require the ability to operate various testing tools and equipment, as well as read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams. The Electrical Testing Technician will also be responsible for documenting services by maintaining records and writing technical reports detailing field work performed.ResponsibilitiesPerform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical equipment per NETA standardsOperate various testing tools and equipment including megger, digital multimeter, Hipot tester, multiamp relay tester, GFI, TTR, primary and secondary injection set, etcDocument services by maintaining records and writing technical reports detailing field work performedRead and interpret electrical control schematics and diagramsPerform extensive testing, problem identification, and troubleshootingInspect and service transformers, switchgear, and relaysEvaluate the operating condition of equipmentGenerate detailed reports Communicate effectively with team members and clientsQualificationsFundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical testing proceduresFamiliarity with electrical test equipment and fundamentalsExperience in performing extensive testing, problem identification, and troubleshootingStrong background in troubleshooting and performing start-up serviceNETA level II, III, or IV Certification preferredAbility to travel: 10-25% (home every day, 70-75% of the time)Strong verbal and written communication skillsComputer literacyCompensation And BenefitsNegotiable salary based on level of expertiseAnnual bonusFull benefits package including, paid vacation and holidaysThis is a full-time and permanent position that requires a highly skilled Electrical Testing Technician who is willing to join our dynamic team.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour depending on experienceBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: In personPhysical RequirementsThis job involves both indoor and outdoor work.
