Job Title: Mobile Field Network Tester (4G/5G)Location: 200 Connell Drive, Berkeley Heights, NJ (Fully Onsite) Career Level: Entry to Associate (0–2 years) Employment Type: Full-Time / ContractPosition SummaryThe Mobile Field Network Tester is responsible for verifying and validating mobile device performance within live 4G/5G environments. This role focuses on testing wireless connectivity, call processing, and data throughput across diverse geographic areas. You will execute drive tests, capture logs, and analyze RAN (Radio Access Network) protocols to ensure seamless mobile operation and an optimal user experience.Key ResponsibilitiesField & Mobility Testing: Execute field-based drive tests to evaluate network coverage, throughput, latency, and call performance under various real-world conditions. Log Capture & Analysis: Utilize industry-standard tools (QXDM, QCAT, TEMS, or Nemo) to capture and troubleshoot network issues from live environments and customer labs. KPI Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (RSRP, SINR, CQI) and evaluate new software/firmware releases to ensure product stability. Defect Tracking: Document test results, detect software inconsistencies, and register issues in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems for the development team. Infrastructure Support: Prepare devices for field testing (SW updates, tool configuration) and create or revise test routes based on new network feature deployments. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with QA, development, and carrier engineers to resolve field-related network or device problems. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: 0–2 years of experience in field network testing, mobile QA, or telecom engineering (Entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds are welcome). Technical Skills:Solid understanding of 4G LTE / 5G NR network architecture (RAN, Core, IMS). Proficiency in air interface protocols and signaling. Experience with testing tools such as QXDM, QCAT, TEMS, or Nemo. Basic coding experience in Python or SQL is a significant plus. Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with extensive field-based driving for testing purposes. Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingual (Korean/English) is not required but considered highly beneficial for internal coordination.
