Pest Control Technician

We're hiring a full-time pest control technician to help our customers get rid of unwanted visitors! You'll identify red flags that signal the presence of an infestation, decide on the appropriate treatment, and safely administer the appropriate tactics to eradicate pests and keep them from coming back. Apply today!Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 yearly Responsibilities: Wear protective equipment and follow all safety guidelines and instructions when using power spraying equipment and fumigation equipment Advise clients on the best method for extermination of the pest, such as fumigants, mouse traps, blocking pest pathways, or other pest control methods Arrange for appointments with customers by working with the staff in our office Answer any questions regarding our pest control services Evaluate each residence for red flags of potential infestations, such as bed bugs, termites, rodents, vermin, or other pests Able to work in all weather conditions Comfortable working in enclosed spaces such as in attics and under houses No previous pest control experience is required but a consistent work history is a huge plus Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance Ability to work a schedule that will vary seasonally (summer - roughly 50 hours per week; winter - roughly 40 hours per week) Ability to work independently Have a great “bedside manner” with customers and be able to interact with them in a professional, polite, and tactful manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to mix chemicals as dictated by the treatment Detail oriented Must pass a drug test Must pass a background check Current Texas driver's license and clean driving record Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. Physically fit enough to lift 50 lbs and climb into confined spaces regularly Excellent verbal and written communication skills Passed the pest control license exam provided by the Department of Agriculture Incredible customer service skills High School diploma or G.E.D.
