WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR - BELLEVILLE, MI - 2ND SHIFT - CONTRACT OVERVIEW: We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Belleville, MI. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a background in warehouse or manufacturing operations, and the ability to drive performance while maintaining a positive and safe work environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and support hourly employees, providing guidance and addressing concerns as needed. Recognize and reinforce positive performance behaviors; address and correct negative behaviors. Use Quality Network problem-solving processes to improve operations and engage team members in continuous improvement. Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) methods to enhance layouts, safety, and efficiency. Ensure accurate payroll processing by updating the Timekeeping System (TKS) daily. Document problem-solving activities using the A-3 reporting format and follow local guidelines. Conduct daily meetings to review performance, communicate priorities, and encourage two-way communication. Perform and document weekly safety observation tours. Plan daily workloads in advance and coordinate with colleagues to maximize shift performance. Enforce shop rules and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Conduct daily SOP audits and ensure processes are followed. Develop skills and knowledge through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process. Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of all pending activities. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing or warehouse processes and procedures. Solid knowledge of quality control procedures and scheduling/management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for handling complex issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to motivate and lead teams effectively. Basic math proficiency and technical aptitude for area-specific systems.
