Position OverviewSeasafe Homes is hiring a Plan Examiner and Permitting Coordinator to review foundation and structural plans and drive projects through permitting.This role sits in preconstruction and is responsible for making sure plans are accurate, aligned, and buildable before they reach the field. You will review structural and foundation drawings, identify issues, mark up plans with clear direction, and coordinate with engineers and architects to resolve them.You will also manage the permitting process from submission through approval. The goal is to reduce plan errors, prevent field issues, and keep permits moving.You are not creating new structural designs. You are reviewing, correcting, and coordinating.Core ResponsibilitiesStructural Plan ReviewReview foundation and structural plan sets before submission. Compare structural sheets, architectural plans, and modular set drawings. Identify misalignment in hold downs, brackets, embeds, bearing conditions, and load paths.Mark up plans using Bluebeam with clear and actionable comments. Flag issues early and confirm they are resolved before plans move forward.Plan CoordinationWork directly with engineers and architects to resolve structural and foundation issues. Track revisions and confirm corrections are made. Ensure final plans reflect how Seasafe builds in the field.PermittingAssemble complete plan sets for submission. Submit plans to local jurisdictions. Track comments, coordinate responses, and manage revisions through approval.Keep the permitting process moving without delays or repeated back and forth.Preconstruction AlignmentSupport internal plan reviews prior to submission. Confirm plans align with site conditions, zoning, and FEMA flood elevation requirements.
