Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring strong LVAD experience and transplant patient management skills.Job Details• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a Level II Trauma Center hospital setting,• Adult patient population (18+) including heart failure, hypertension, cardiac rhythm disorders, trach/vent with multi-organ issues, LVAD, pulmonary hypertension, and transplant (heart, lung, kidney) patients,• Neurological patient population includes stable/established stroke, acute TBI, intracranial hemorrhage, lumbar drain, cervical spinal cord injury, and peri-operative neurosurgical patients,• Patient ratio of 1:4 depending on staffing and acuity,• Responsibilities include titration of insulin and cardiac drips, as well as management of IV prostacyclin for stable pulmonary hypertension patients,• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30),• Every other weekend required,• Charting via Epic,Job Requirements• Active NJ or Compact RN license required,• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,• Minimum 2 years of experience required,• PCU, DOU, IMC, or Step-Down unit experience required,• Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I and Teaching Hospital experience highly preferred,• Strong LVAD experience required,• Experience with insulin and cardiac drip titration required,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,• Two current professional references required,Additional Information• Manage complex adult patients including post-transplant (heart, lung, kidney), LVAD, pulmonary hypertension, neurological, and drug overdose/ingestion cases,• Frequent neurologic assessments (every 2 hours) required for applicable patients,• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,
