Compensation Analyst

Our client, a large, established organization undergoing a major HR systems transformation, is looking for a HCM Compensation Analyst with strong compensation program experience and a background supporting enterprise HR system implementations. Location: Hybrid – Seattle, WA; onsite in downtown Seattle Tuesday through Thursday. Length of Assignment: Approximately 9 months, through 12/31 Compensation Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Position Overview This role will support a multi-year Human Capital Management transformation focused on modernizing compensation planning and related HR processes. The Compensation Analyst will partner closely with HR, IT, and implementation teams to help design, build, and implement compensation-related functionality within a new cloud-based HCM environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in compensation, experience supporting annual compensation cycles in a systems-driven environment, and the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements. Experience with Decusoft is highly desired. Responsibilities Serve as the Compensation Business Analyst in support of a large-scale HCM implementation Partner with HR, IT, and system implementation teams to support the compensation workstream Gather, define, and document business requirements for compensation processes Translate business needs into functional requirements and system design recommendations Document requirements, acceptance criteria, process flows, and implementation plans Participate in quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing Support issue identification, research, and resolution for system and process-related challenges Assist with data conversion activities related to compensation programs and processes Support organizational change management efforts, including end-user communications, documentation, and training Help ensure compliance, business objectives, and user experience goals are met throughout implementation Qualifications 3–5+ years of relevant compensation experience Experience supporting annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and incentive planning Hands-on experience implementing enterprise HR systems, preferably Decusoft or a similar platform Strong analytical skills with experience supporting compensation tool implementation, data validation, issue resolution, and solution design Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and technical documentation Experience producing business requirements documents, functional requirements documents, process maps, test plans, and implementation documentation Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, and SharePoint Highly Desired Experience with Decusoft Experience supporting HR system implementations for large organizations About Hansell Tierney Hansell Tierney is the premier staffing and recruiting company in the Pacific Northwest.
