Job Title: Architectural Sheet Metal EstimatorStart Date: ImmediatelySalary Range: $85,000-$115,000/Annually DOEPosition Overview: The Architectural Cladding Estimator is responsible for evaluating and estimating costs for exterior building envelope and façade projects, including architectural cladding systems, sheet metal, metal wall panels, aluminum composite material (ACM) panels, and related specialty systems. Join our team today and help us build something great!Essential Job FunctionsPrepare detailed estimates for architectural cladding, façade systems, insulated metal panels, ACMs, rain screens, and related exterior envelope scopesDevelop comprehensive cost breakdowns covering labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, risk, and job cost reportingReview drawings, specifications, structural details, and manufacturer requirements to ensure accuracy and complianceProvide value engineering and pricing strategies aligned with client needs, code requirements, backlog, and available resourcesConduct site evaluations, risk analysis, and participate in pre‑bid, post‑bid, and client technical meetingsMaintain current market pricing and negotiate with suppliers, fabricators, and manufacturersCompile proposals, submittals, manufacturer documentation, and support estimating needs across branchesSupport project execution through PM handoff meetings, job reviews, operational improvements, networking, and required internal meetingsMinimum Education And Experience3+ years of experience estimating architectural cladding, façade systems, or building envelope projects (required)5+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in exterior envelope assemblies.Experience with ACM, IMP, metal panels, and rain screen assemblies preferred.General construction and sales experience preferredOSHA 10 certificationRequired Skills And AbilitiesValid driver’s license with ability to safely access job sites, rooftops, ladders, lifts, and building exteriorsStrong working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and adherence to all safety protocolsHigh proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Bluebeam, and CRM tools (Pipedrive or similar)Extensive knowledge of commercial façade and cladding systems, including market‑specific codes and standardsAbility to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and technical specifications Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and time‑management skills with attention to detailExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; professional company representationDemonstrates company values—Family Culture, JR Attitude, Extreme Ownership, Grow or DieWork Environment/Physical RequirementsPass initial drug test and participate in random drug test programPrimarily indoor office environmentOvertime and weekend workAbility to climb ladders, access elevated areas, and perform exterior assessments.Compensation PackageWeekly payPhone stipendBenefitsHealth, dental, vision, life insurancePaid time off401(k) with company matchFringe Benefit sub-plan (where applicable)Paid Parental LeaveWork Location:Office location: Pittsburgh, PAOpen to remoteJ.R. & Co., Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
