Day Porter

Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter ensures the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in alignment with company standards, contractual specifications, and agreed-upon performance levels. This position supports the maintenance of a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.Job Responsibilities:Inspect the building perimeter, sidewalks, loading docks, smoking areas, and parking lots for trashMaintain exterior areas at street level, including doors, frames, metalwork, and windowsBlow leaves and debris from entrances, patios, and sidewalks (early mornings)Clean dumpster area and secure gatesWater flower pots before end of shiftClean chiller/cooling tower yardsCheck and clear drains in parking lots and roofsKeep mechanical and electrical rooms cleanSweep exterior loading dock areaEmpty and clean cigarette urns; replace sand as neededRemove gum and debris from sidewalks and other areasReport plumbing or mechanical issues to management immediatelyRemove cobwebs from canopies and building entrancesClean sidewalks and building exteriors for algaeAssist Building Engineers when neededRespond to emergency calls from managementPerform other duties as assigned by Property Manager or management staffQualifications:High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience.Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders.Must be able to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.Proficiency in basic English (reading, speaking, understanding).Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.Join our team as a Day Porter and contribute to creating a clean and inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall experience for everyone in the facility!Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pmPay: Starting at $12/hourLocation: The Woodlands
