Flagger/Laborer

*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team. The Flagger plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of both construction workers and the public by directing traffic around construction sites. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction equipment and operations. *Responsibilities* * Direct traffic safely around construction zones using appropriate hand signals and signage. * Monitor and manage vehicle flow to ensure safety for both pedestrians and construction personnel. * Set up and take down traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers. * Communicate effectively with construction crews to coordinate work activities and ensure safety protocols are followed. * Assist in utility locating and ensure that all underground services are marked before excavation begins. * Maintain a clear understanding of site layout and construction activities to anticipate traffic needs. * Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the site supervisor. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in a flagging or traffic control role is preferred but not required. * Familiarity with construction equipment operations such as grader operation, backhoe operation, bulldozer, dump truck, loader operation, front loader truck, and paving is a plus. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others on a construction site. * Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods while working outdoors in various weather conditions. * Knowledge of safety regulations related to traffic control and construction sites is beneficial. * Must be able to pass any required training or certification programs related to flagging operations.
