Position: Electrical Engineering InternLocation: Columbus, OhioPay Rate: $25.00 per hourSuperior is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in our internship program during the Spring term (January - April). In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.Under the guidance of our Engineering team, the Electrical Engineering Intern will gain exposure to project coordination, computer-assisted engineering software, data collection, and so much more. This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce and revise document files for a variety of construction projects that span multiple industriesCreate engineering calculations and documents using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, AmpCalc, and Microsoft OfficeProduce engineering studies for short circuit, overcurrent protective device coordination, arc flash hazard, duct bank conductor ampacity, and cable pullingParticipate in training that will build your capabilities with industry-specific software programs, governing design and construction codes, specification writing, and design practicesVisit our various construction jobsites to assist with field investigations, drawing verification, and moreEducationRequired: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in the Engineering field; Electrical Engineering is preferredAbout SuperiorSuperior is a national leader in electrical design and construction and among the largest electrical contractors in the U.S. From hospitals to data centers to corporate campuses and beyond, we bring power and connectivity to projects of every shape and size.
