Speech-Language Pathologist in Tacoma, WA

Provide essential speech-language support in a full-time school-based role serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This in-person position offers a chance to fill a critical backfill vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year within a vibrant school district in the Tacoma, WA area.Key Responsibilities:Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to a diverse K-12 student caseload.Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor effective individualized education plans (IEPs).Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district policies.Participate in meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to stay current in best practices.Qualifications and Experience:Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).Valid Washington State SLP License.Eligible for or currently holding the Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification.Completed fingerprint clearance through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).Experience working with school-aged children across diverse speech and language needs is preferred.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Location and Work Schedule:Position located in the Tacoma, WA region, serving an established school district.Full-time contract with 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week.This opportunity requires in-person attendance.Benefits:Work within a supportive educational environment focused on student growth and success.Gain experience with K-12 populations and contribute to meaningful educational outcomes.Opportunity to collaborate with dedicated staff and specialists.Licensed candidates interested in this full-time school-based role are encouraged to apply by submitting credentials, including copies of licensure, ESA certification, and proof of fingerprint clearance.
