Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack Java and/or C++ Development

Position Description: The Dedrone Team is looking for a developer with strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of the agile development process. We are building best in class Digital applications and API's. You should have strong experience in Java, C++, and a passion for creating the best user experience possible. Ability to work in fast-paced startup environment adapting to changing priorities. Responsibilities:  As a member of the technical team in an Agile development process.  Responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices  Has strong understanding of the overall software delivery lifecycle and activities  Code, design, and testing in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. Java, C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.  Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing capabilities.  Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies. Requirements:  Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.  Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines  Advanced knowledge of architecture and design  Prior experience building internet scale web service/API platforms from the ground up  Strong understanding of OOP principles, Enterprise design patterns, industry best practices  Strong understanding of domain driven design, Microservices patterns and architectures  Experience with Java, strong understanding of Java concurrency, concurrency patterns, experience building thread safe code  Expert level experience designing and building REST web services using Java  Strong knowledge and experience on build pipeline, such as Jenkins, etc.  Experience with building messaging / event-driven architectures  Strong written and verbal communication skills  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Qualifications:  Overall 7+ years of experience in delivering technology solutions  3+ years of API/service development experience.  3+ years of experience with Java, C++ and REST  2+ years of experience with Jenkins or similar tools  BS or MS in Computer Science or related field Principal Software Engineer (Computer Vision/Machine Learning) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Compensation Package: Weekly pay Schedule: No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: Sterling, VA 20166: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: C++: 5 years (Preferred) JAVA: 5 years (Preferred) Javascript: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sterling, VA 20166
