Pediatric Occupational TherapistJoin Our HiveBumblebee Pediatric Therapy is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.We're building a team of clinicians who want to practice differently—prioritizing quality over volume, working collaboratively across disciplines, and supporting the whole child and family.Position DetailsPosition: Pediatric Occupational TherapistEmployment Type: W-2 Hourly (Year 1) → Opportunity to transition to salaried role in Year 2Compensation: $75–$90/hour, based on experienceLocation: Northwest Washington, DC (clinic-based; Tenleytown area)Schedule: Flexible scheduling with expectation of 2–3 after-school afternoons per week; no weekend hoursReports to: OT ManagerOur Clinical ModelAt Bumblebee, we intentionally maintain low caseloads (25 billable hours or fewer per week) so therapists can focus on individualized, child-led care.Our team works closely across OT, PT, and SLP to support each child holistically—meaning you're never working in isolation. Collaboration, mentorship, and clinical growth are built into our day-to-day work.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, and interventionSupport children with a range of needs including sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor development, and daily living skillsDeliver services primarily in-clinic, with occasional in-school or home-based sessions depending on client needsMaintain timely and high-quality documentation (session notes, evaluations, treatment plans)Communicate regularly with families to support collaboration and carryoverCollaborate with OT, PT, and SLP team members to provide integrated careParticipate in monthly "Work Days" (paid administrative time)Qualifications3–5 years of pediatric experience (outpatient or private practice preferred)Experience working with neurodiverse populations and a variety of developmental needsStrong clinical reasoning and interest in collaborative careActive DC OT license (or ability to obtain); VA and MD licensure a plusBenefitsHealth insurance effective on day one401(k) with employer match after one yearFlexible schedulingLow productivity expectations (≤25 billable hours/week)Paid administrative time, including monthly Work DaysContinuing education stipend to support ongoing professional developmentHigh level of mentorship and interdisciplinary collaborationOpportunities for professional growth and leadership as the practice expandsOur CultureWe value clinicians who are curious, engaged, and invested in their growth.
