Electrical Maintenance

OverviewSupports our production operations by ensuring optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. In this hands-on role you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and repair production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.Essential FunctionsResponsible for maintaining company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working orderOn-call emergency repairsResponsible for taking control of breakdownsExecute a plan of continued improvement of machine safety and general housekeepingWork with crews to complete all preventative maintenanceWork with machine operator to troubleshoot and determine root cause of mechanical issuesRespond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectivelyWork hand in hand with Maintenance Manager to resolve any accident waiting to happen formsWork as a team to maintain organization and inventory of maintenance shop and toolsDuties may vary depending on locationRequirements/QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Experience:Electrical certification preferred. Corrugated packaging industry a plus. Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery. Ability to use shop tools and equipment (drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch). Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical mechanical & electrical aptitude. Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
