Joining our Finance team as a Bookeeper means youll be part of a mission-driven company where every team member helps shape a best-in-class guest experience. Youll manage day-to-day financial recordkeeping, keep our books audit-ready, support regulatory compliance unique to the cannabis industry, and partner closely with store and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory and cash reporting. This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented accounting professional who wants to grow within a fast-paced, service-focused company and make a direct impact on operations, compliance, and financial clarity. Salary$50000 - $60000 USD per year Required SkillsMust be at least 21 years old 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience (small- to mid-sized retail preferred) Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Procurify, Xero, or comparable systems) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliation workflows) Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable Familiarity with month-end close tasks and basic financial statement preparation High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication; able to coordinate with operations and vendors Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with financial and payroll data Ability to pass background checks and obtain any required state cannabis employee permit or license Reliable availability for a flexible schedule including occasional weekends or peak-period close support Desired SkillsPrior experience in the cannabis industry or working knowledge of seed-to-sale / state traceability systems (METRC, BioTrack, etc.) Experience with cannabis retail POS systems (Flowhub, Greenbits, LeafLogix, etc.) and reconciling POS-to-ledger Understanding of industry-specific accounting and tax considerations (e.g., excise taxes, 280E awareness) Payroll processing experience or familiarity with ADP/Paychex/Paylocity Bookkeeping certifications (QB ProAdvisor, AIPB, or equivalent) or associate/BS degree in accounting Familiarity with inventory valuation methods and inventory reconciliation processes Experience preparing supporting schedules for audits and tax filings Process improvement mindset and experience documenting SOPs for finance workflows Comfortable using collaborative tools (Google Workspace, Slack) and working cross-functionally with non-finance teams If youre detail-driven, customer-service minded, and excited to support a growing dispensary that prioritizes hospitality and compliance, wed love to hear from you.
