Plant I&E Technician I

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Plant I&E Tech I is responsible for performing calibrations to plant equipment and controls/instrumentation to provide efficient day-to-day operations of the plant. This position must continually strive to maintain the highest standards for safety, excellence, and professionalism, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of Canes Midstream.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform and document preventative maintenance to plant equipmentTroubleshoot communication /instrumentation failures and make necessary repairsCalibrate plant instrumentation on a regular basisPerform documentation for critical equipment calibrationsAssist in major Electrical equipment repairs and plant shutdownsWork with contractors in the plant to perform large maintenance projectsObtain work permits and fill out JSAsSource and order parts for equipment/instrumentationWork on an On-Call rotation and work overtime as neededAdhere to Canes Policies and Procedures as well as applicable industry standards and practicesPerform any other related duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability(ies) required.Solid understanding of gas flow characteristicsAbility to use testing equipment including multimeters, amp meters, HART communicators, Vibration analyzers, pressure calibration equipmentBasic understanding of PLCs and how they control end devices.Ability to troubleshoot analog valve positioners, analog transmitters, pressure switches, and level switches.Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance applicable to the Oil & Gas IndustryTrack record of dependability and commitment to the role, team, and companyAvailability for callouts 24 hours a day on a rotating scheduleProficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Office softwareEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or GED equivalent is requiredPreferred at least 1 year instrumentation calibration/troubleshooting/replacement experiencPreferred minimum 1 year oil and gas experienceREQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust have a valid Texas Drivers License and maintain insurability with corporate insurance company.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESThe following physical activities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
