Private Credit Associate
A Middle Market Private Credit shop located in South, FL is looking to add on an Associate to their team. The firm manages north of $10 Billion in AUM and focuses on a Direct Lending strategy but also does some work within Opportunistic Credit as well. The individual would ideally start this Summer and would have the chance to stay on long term with the firm, assuming good performance. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of Investment Banking experience within M&A, Lev-Fin, or FIG. The firm would also consider someone coming from a Private Credit Analyst role as well. If this seems like something of interest to you and you meet the below requirements, please apply!ResponsibilitiesSupport senior investment professionals across the full credit investment lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, execution, and portfolio monitoringBuild and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow analyses, credit metrics, downside cases, and covenant sensitivity analysesConduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including business, financial, industry, and sponsor analysisPrepare investment memos, credit committee materials, lender presentations, and internal reportingAssist in structuring debt investments across capital structures, including unitranche, first lien, second lien, mezzanine, and preferred equityMonitor portfolio companies post‑close, including financial performance, covenant compliance, and ongoing credit risk assessmentWork closely with private equity sponsors, management teams, legal counsel, and third-party advisorsRequirements2+ years of experience at the start of the role in Investment Banking (M&A, Leveraged Finance, or FIG), Private Credit, Direct Lending, or Credit InvestingStrong financial modeling and credit analysis skills, with experience evaluating leverage, liquidity, and downside riskSolid understanding of debt structures, credit documentation, and capital marketsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate investment risks and returnsHigh level of attention to detail and strong analytical judgmentSelf‑starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environmentDemonstrated interest in building a long-term career in private credit or alternative credit investingBachelor's degree from a strong academic institution
