Registered Nurse-Night Shift

JOB PURPOSE:The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is in a leadership and educator role, providing both patient care and education to direct reports, including researching, training, guiding, and providing instruction to any direct reports.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis.Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards.Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment.Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development.Uses knowledge and judgement needed to meet the nursing needs of patient.Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.Other duties may be assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS OR ABILITIES:Required Skills for this position are but not limited to:Microsoft Office.Excellent written, oral, and communication skill.The ability to adapt to new software, equipment, and tasks that take place daily.Documentation Skills.Analyzing Information.Creating a Safe, Effective Environment.Infection Control.Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Graduate from an accredited nursing program.Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Ohio.Working knowledge of how a medical office runs.At least one year of experience working in the medical field would be preferred but not required.BLS or CPR required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Physical demands described are representative of those that must be routinely met by and employee to successfullyperform the essential duties of this position.
