Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for meticulously evaluating project costs, analyzing blueprints, and performing comprehensive material takeoffs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects across the United States. As a vital representative of 360 United Estimates, you will leverage our competitive advantages, such as pinpoint accuracy and rapid turnaround times, to help our clients win more contracts and protect their profit margins throughout the competitive bidding process.ResponsibilitiesPerform Detailed Takeoffs: Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs and material counts across all major CSI Divisions for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.Analyze Technical Documents: Review and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP blueprints, specifications, and addenda to establish highly accurate baseline cost structures.Leverage Competitive Advantages: Maintain an in-depth understanding of current US material prices, localized labor rates, and market trends to give our clients a competitive edge during bidding.Resolve Cost Discrepancies: Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve inconsistencies or missing information within project documents by collecting and analyzing historical data and industry benchmarks.Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain precise, up-to-date quotes for materials, specialized equipment, and vendor systems to eliminate guesswork and build ironclad cost models.Optimize Documentation: Prepare clear, well-structured, and granular estimation reports that clearly break down material costs, labor, and profit margins for final client delivery.QualificationsEducation & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.Software Expertise: Proven, hands-on proficiency with industry-standard digital estimation software, specifically PlanSwift and Bluebeam Revu.Technical Proficiency: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and mentally visualize complex 2D blueprints and 3D architectural/structural plans.Standards Familiarity: Strong working knowledge of CSI MasterFormat divisions, US construction methodologies, and standard building codes.Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated construction estimating or quantity surveying experience within the US market is highly preferred.Analytical Skills: Sharp mathematical and analytical mindset with a rock-solid understanding of basic cost accounting principles, profit margins, and budget forecasting.
