Master’s degree preferred8+ years of experience building large-scale, production-grade systems, with demonstrated depth in Java-based backend development and distributed system design.Expert level knowledge of core Java concepts and framework such as Spring Boot, Microservices and well versed with OOPs concepts and design patterns.Must have strong hands-on Java development experience with Apache Spark (with Java) or Python development with PySpark.Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.Extensive development expertise in building the high scaled and performant software platforms for data computation and processing.Knowledge of containerized deployments and cloud-native architecture.Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps best practices.Experience with caching solutions like Pinot, Redis etc.Experience with relational and/or document-oriented databases.Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting.Ability to translate business and analytical requirements into efficient technical solutions.Ability to guide junior staff, influence technical direction, and manage multiple initiatives in parallel.Background in financial services, especially within Market Risk or FinTech.Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive projects independently.Ability to align technology with business goals and regulatory needs.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.What You Will Be DoingDeeply hands-on application development while leading technical design and implementation of key components of the Market Risk platform.Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.Implement scalable and high-performance computing solutions for computing market risk & providing analysis capabilities.Implement containerized deployment and integrating with modern data platforms such as Snowflake for cloud-based data processing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global counterparts to deliver high-quality solutions.Optimize risk data processing pipelines to improve efficiency and response timePartner with Risk, Model Governance, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure regulatory requirements are accurately implemented in market risk technology.Work in an Agile development environment, ensuring timely and efficientProduct delivery.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers in the squad.
