Lead Fire Alarm Installer
Job Description
The Lead Fire Alarm Installer is responsible for the onsite installation of fire life safety systems within commercial properties. This role actively leads a crew in the overall installation of projects as directed by Fire TI leadership and management. The Lead Fire Alarm Installer is a vital component of each project, performing the installation of devices, running wiring, and completing general construction tasks to ensure the successful completion of client projects. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical functions and operations, along with the ability to enforce electrical regulations, construction requirements, and industry standards.Perform demolition, construction rough-ins, wire pulling, project preparation, and clean upTroubleshoot systems and implement corrective actionsManage project data and documentationCommunicate with customers and internal teamsTrain and support technicians on installation procedures and best practicesServes as the primary onsite contact for customers and communicates daily with the Foreman and/orProject Manager regarding job statusMaintains all project documentation and enters daily summaries into the company CRM; submits final project documents in a timely manner to complete project closeoutLeads the onsite crew to ensure successful installation of project components and adherence to proper data storage proceduresInterprets drawings and identifies the best methods for project installationEnsures all project materials and equipment are prepared and ready for installationAdheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards, and practicesFollows all TRL Fleet policies and procedures; maintains the appearance of the assigned vehicle and manages inventory according to established proceduresProvides system troubleshooting and makes timely corrective actions to keep projects moving forwardMay perform duties assigned to the Fire TI Foreman as needed or requestedMaintains punctuality and regular attendanceRequirements3+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation3+ years installing low voltage in a commercial environmentValid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).Physical Demands & Work Environment:Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily.Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations.Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and multi-tenant properties.Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionallyMove/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds, dailyPushing/Pulling using upper extremities, dailyPosition self to work in confined spaces, occasionallyCompany DescriptionTRL Systems is comprised of teams of highly trained specialists in life safety and security strategic planning and implementation including installation, service, and IT integration.
