Senior Account Executive
Summary of Position:
The Senior Account Executive has responsibility for identifying and selling technology related service projects, software solutions, hardware solutions, and bundles of one or more of these to prospects and existing customers in a named territory. The primary, yet non-exclusive, market targeted by this position is that of mid-sized to large financial institutions (FIs) and some regional FIs in North America.
Software products offered by this position consist of banking automation solutions that are usually deployed in retail bank branches or for commercial-treasury banking. Hardware products and warranties offered by this position can be new or refurbished equipment and is typically part of an automation solution used by FIs in its branch banking or commercial-treasury banking. Technical projects offered by this position may consist of site surveys, customer onsite equipment installations, customer onsite software upgrades, customer de-installations and closings, on-demand move/add/change work orders, onsite troubleshooting, remote software installations or conversions, recycling services, chain-of-custody data destruction services, staff-augmentation, depot repair services, and fulfillment service programs.
This position may have multiple incumbents and has no supervisory responsibility. The Senior Account Executive will report to a Sales Manager or the VP of Business Development and is expected to be competent in performing the duties and responsibilities outlined below.
This position carries an annual quota of over $1.75 million in sales to assigned accounts and net-new customers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
BA or BS Degree or equivalent work/industry experience
Eight or more years of experience in sales and/or account management required
Bank, cash, deposit automation and workflow experience ideal
Experience selling solutions to various departments and levels in banking or similar industry preferred
Possess a working knowledge of financial industry terms and related computing technology
Possess strong sales skills to include pipeline creation and ability to advance deals through the pipeline
Able to achieve or exceed a periodic sales quota for the assigned territory
Able to articulate ideas and concepts via the phone, email and web-based platforms
Possess the ability and discipline to utilize a CRM tool systematically and diligently
Able to overcome objections
Able to provide timely and accurate forecasting input and pipeline visibility
Possess an intermediate to strong command of the Microsoft Office suite
Able to solve customer challenges with solutions combining hardware, software and services
