Manager, AccountingLocation: Anaheim, CA (On-site -eventualy hybrid)Industry: Fuel / EnergyPay Range: $120,000 -$145,000 plus bonusExcellent company culture!Position OverviewOur client, a well-established fuel organization in Anaheim, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and partner closely with leadership. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, inter-company accounting for multiple entities, and month-end close, while driving process improvements and supporting business decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-on management of staff level of 3-5 direct reportsOversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAPDevelop, maintain, and monitor annual budgets and operating forecastsManage day-to-day accounting functions including inventory, accounts payable, and general ledger activityOversight of high volume inter-company transactionsPrepare and analyze internal financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheetsLead month-end close processes, resolving complex accounting issues and ensuring timely, accurate reconciliationsPerform detailed variance analyses and review balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany and inventory accountsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes and systemsPartner with cross-functional leaders to provide financial insight and support strategic initiativesLead external audits and serve as the primary audit liaisonSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting team membersPerform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadershipQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent educationAdvanced knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirementsStrong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisHigh proficiency with Excel and financial modelingDemonstrated success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentDeep understanding of inventory accounting and business combinationsProven leadership ability with experience managing teams, processes, and systemsTrack record of driving cross-functional process improvementsPrior Controller-level experience strongly preferredAudit experience preferredIndustry experience (fuel, energy, distribution, or related) highly preferredDesired Skills and ExperienceManager, AccountingLocation: Anaheim, CA (On-site to start, eventually hybrid)Industry: Fuel / EnergyPay Range: $120,000 -$145,000 plus bonusExcellent company culture!
