Accounting, Tax Preparation, Bookkeeping, and Payroll ServicesLessors of Nonfinancial Intangible Assets (except Copyrighted Works)Vocational Rehabilitation ServicesLegal ServicesExecutive, Legislative, and Other General Government SupportKey Responsibilities:Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on engagements.Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects across various industries.Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients while managing budgets.Develop, train, mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for reviews.Deliver full range of State and Local Tax (SALT) services, including tax return preparation/review, research, technical memorandums, client correspondence, and audit defense counseling.Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-state reviews of income, franchise, sales/use, payroll, ad valorem taxes to identify optimal filing options, exemptions, credits, incentives, and corporate structures that reduce tax burden.Consult with clients on business/process improvements and serve as a business advisor.Support business development activities, including identification, proposal development, and pursuits.Handle other duties as assigned, with travel as needed.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum six years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience, including public accounting and state income tax.Active CPA license, JD with active law license in good standing, or Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.Technical Skills:Strong state income tax compliance and consulting expertise.Proficiency in tax return preparation/review, research, technical memos, and multi-state tax analysis (income, franchise, sales/use, payroll, ad valorem).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong computer skills.Ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously and take ultimate responsibility for projects/deliverables.Functional and Behavioral Skills:Strong leadership skills.Expertise in business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring.Ability to collaborate with teams and clients on tax planning, compliance, and process improvements.
