Amplify emphasizes tailored communications strategies, integrated media campaigns, and direct connections between clients and the people they serve.We’re looking for a Client Manager with strong political instincts and strategic communications experience to serve as the trusted day-to-day lead for a portfolio of clients. This person will help clients navigate the political landscape, develop effective messaging strategies, manage execution, and ensure every deliverable is aligned with their broader communications and policy goals.This role is ideal for someone who understands how political offices, campaigns, or public affairs organizations operate; can provide thoughtful and timely strategic counsel; and thrives while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.What You’ll DoServe as the primary day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships rooted in trust, responsiveness, sound political judgment, and strategic counselAdvise clients on political communications strategy, including messaging, positioning, audience engagement, issue advocacy, and rapid-response opportunitiesDevelop a strong understanding of each client’s political environment, priorities, constituencies, stakeholders, and long-term communications goalsLead the development and execution of integrated communications plans across digital advertising, paid media, texting, telephone town halls, direct mail, and other outreach channelsTranslate policy priorities, legislative accomplishments, campaign objectives, and emerging political developments into clear and compelling communications strategiesHelp shape message development, campaign concepts, content calendars, audience targeting, and outreach recommendations that support client goalsAnticipate political opportunities and challenges, proactively recommending strategies that help clients communicate effectively and remain responsive to current eventsManage client timelines, deliverables, approvals, and internal workflows to ensure projects move efficiently from concept to completionPartner with internal creative, digital, texting, and production teams to translate client priorities into clear, actionable workstreamsSupport budget planning and help clients understand how different communications tactics work together to maximize reach, engagement, and impactProactively identify opportunities to strengthen client programs, test new approaches, and improve outcomesStay informed on the evolving political, legislative, digital, and media landscape to provide smart, timely, and relevant recommendationsWhat We’re Looking For2+ years of experience in political consulting, Capitol Hill, political campaigns, public affairs, strategic communications, advocacy, client service, or an agency environmentDemonstrated understanding of political strategy, including how elected officials, campaigns, advocacy organizations, or public affairs clients communicate with key audiencesStrong political judgment and the ability to provide confident, thoughtful, and practical strategic recommendationsExperience translating political, policy, or legislative priorities into effective public-facing messaging and communications plansStrong understanding of strategic communications and how messaging should be adapted across different audiences and outreach channelsExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; you can manage multiple clients, deadlines, and moving pieces without letting things slipStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly, professionally, and persuasivelyAbility to balance strategy and execution; you can see the broader political picture while also owning the details required to deliver strong workComfort working collaboratively across teams and adapting quickly in a fast-paced, high-expectation environmentExperience working directly with political, government, campaign, advocacy, or public affairs clients is strongly preferredFamiliarity with digital communications, paid media, texting, constituent engagement, political advertising, or audience-targeting tools is a plusWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleClients view you as a trusted political and communications strategist, not simply a project managerClients feel supported, informed, and confident in Amplify’s strategic recommendationsCommunications programs reflect each client’s political goals, priorities, audiences, and unique voiceProjects are organized, on schedule, and executed with a high level of qualityInternal teams receive clear strategic direction, priorities, context, and timelinesYou identify political opportunities, anticipate challenges, and solve problems before they affect the clientYou confidently guide clients from broad objectives to clear strategies and effective deliverablesWhy AmplifyAt Amplify, we believe strong communications can build trust, shape public opinion, and create real impact.
